The purplewire.org I.R.C. Network.
Their are quiet a few server's on
the purplewire network, but they all have three
thing's in common, they have Chanserv, Nickserv and IMserv. These are collectively
know as Services.
Chanserv look's after the channel detail's
i.e.
a) Who is the channel founder.
b) When the channel was formed.
c) What the topic of the channel is.
d) A description of the channel.
e) A list of who has access to the channel.
f) Keeps track of all the AKICK's in force on the channel.
Nickserv look's after all the Nick detail's
of all registered nick's i.e.
a) The nick name.
b) Who own's the nick.
c) When the nick was registered.
d) The last time that nick was seen on purplewire.
e) The e-mail address of the holder.
h) If the holder has identified to nickserv or not.
IMserv Is program that enables user's of AOL
Instant Messenger to use their AOL Instant Messenger ID
as their IRC Nick and use AOL Instant Messenger and IRC
at the same time.
