/MSG NICKSERV REGISTER password username@domain.net
ie. /msg nickserv register uncletom johndory@netcomuk.co.uk
This Register's the Nick you are using at the moment to you with
thePassword you put in, Please write it down you may need it again in
in the future.
The addition of the e-mail address make's it easier for Services to help
you if you lose your Nick or Channel to some one else and make's it
harder for anyone to take your Nick, thus giving more security to you.
DalNet will not pass your e-mail address to any one else.
If you already have a Registered Nick next time you go on to one of the
DalNet Server's you will have to type in :-
/MSG NICKSERV SET EMAIL user@domain.net
ie. /msg nickserv set email johndory@netcomuk.co.uk
You will have to Identify to NickServ for the Nick that you
want to add the email address to first.

NickServ Command's.
NickServ is used on DalNet to keep track of all the
Nicks (nicknames) in use at any time.
It does not let two people use the same Nick at anyone
time, although, two people can use the same Nick, they must not be on
any of the DalNet server's at the same time. Confused?,
well you can Register Nicks the same as Channels and have Nick-Kill
Enforce set on, this means that if some one tries to use your
Nick they are not allowed to and they get their Nick
changed to one like Guest-12345 and they stay that way untill they change
to another that is not Registered. You Do not have to
Register a Nick if you do not want to.
