ChanServ Command's.

Chanserv is used for keeping track of channels formed on Beyondirc and for looking after them.

If you want to set up a channel on Beyondirc you do it through Chanserv.

The first thing you do is join the channel you want to create using one of the Beyondirc Server's. Once you have joined the channel, it is then considered formed.
You do not have to Register a channel, but, this means when the last person leave's the channel it is lost and you cannot keep control of it, other people can then join and Register the channel you formed. To stop this happening you can Register the channel, at the same time you can set the channel setting's.

Common Chanserv commands are :-

/MSG CHANSERV REGISTER channel password description
ie. /msg chanserv register #New-Channel uncleharry Somewhere to meet our mates
Used when you want to Restister the new channel.
Note..To register a channel your Nick must be registered.

/MSG CHANSERV IDENTIFY channel password
ie. /msg chanserv identify #New-Channel uncleharry
Used when you want to Identify to Chanserv. Can be used when your not on the channel.

/MSG CHANSERV ACCESS channel ADD nick or/and mask level
ie. /msg chanserv ACCESS #New-Channel ADD *!Johndory@*.netcomuk.co.uk 5
Used to add OP's or Voice's to your channel.
The Level is a number that defines the access alowed by that person to the Beyondirc service's.

/MSG CHANSERV HELP
This can be used to get help on any of the topic's covered by Chansev.

You should beaware that a Channel will become Un-Registered after 2 weeks if either :-

a) If no-one joins the channel in that time that is on the Access list.

b) The Founder's Nick become's Un-Registered.
