error messages

i have just got a new pc with Windows 7 on and sometimes when loading servers I keep getting messages saying Incorrect ET.exe version instaed of reinstalling everything is there anything I can try before having to do so

Have you installed the 2.60 & 2.60b patch, as that is normally the cause of that error in all windows versions.

You also need to run the game as administrator with vista/windows7

Precedure to install the game: install the 1st file, install the 2nd file, install the 3rd file, overwrite the 2 files (inside the .rar file), download the "pbsetup" from here (windows version ) and place this file into the wolfenstein enemy territory folder (something like this...C:/Programs/Wolfenstein-Enemy Territory ), run this file: ADD GAME --> just select RTCW enemy territory as the game you whant to download stuff for and CHECK FOR UPDATES --> let it do the updates, set the game so that you run it "as administrator", set the compatibility with "windows xp service pack3" (right click on the icon, preferences,compatibility) , now run the game via ET.exe and pray for it to work properly
